The Region of Waterloo Youth Advisory Council is looking for new members! 

The Region of Waterloo is looking for young people (ages 14 – 25) who reflect the diversity of the Region to join a Youth Advisory Council to advise on Regional initiatives.
Are you a youth or do you know youth who would like to:

  • Have a say in regional projects (e.g., Strategic plan, Charles Street Terminal, Community Safety and Wellbeing Plan)
  • Build on advocacy and negotiation skills
  • Build meaningful connections and relationships with regional staff and each other (including new and current Youth Advisory Council members)

Time commitment is a minimum 1 hour per month and participants will be compensated with honoraria. Volunteer hours also available.

How to join!

  • Please complete the Region of Waterloo Youth Advisory Council Application Form to submit your application.  The application deadline is September 20 at 11:45pm. 
  • We’ll be selecting 10 to 12 youth to join as new members of an existing Youth Advisory Council.
    Selected participants will be contacted for a brief chat to ask questions and chat more about the group.
