Hey Celtics!

On behalf of our St. David staff, I want to thank all students for an awesome Quadmester 1.
Over the past months, we celebrated being an entire Catholic school community, finally back under one roof.
Saying that, we are still required to mention important Health and Safety reminders and information to all students and parents.

  • Complete your Covid screening daily and do not attend school if you are symptomatic/feeling unwell – email your teacher to keep up with work
  • Bring your own mask to school and always wear a properly fitted mask while in the building
  • Practice exceptional hand hygiene (wash and sanitize hands regularly) and 2-meter physical distancing

In addition to Covid safety, here are some more reminders:

  • Students need to be in full uniform in classes.  This includes proper uniform shirt and pants (no cargo pants or sweatpants).  We will be checking uniform as we begin Quadmester 2.  Students that are unable to get into uniform will not be permitted in class.
  • Vaping and smoking are not permitted inside the school or on school property – offences will result in school suspension and referral to Public Health for a significant fine.
  • If classes take mask breaks, they will continue to take place outside.  As the weather becomes cooler, please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for a brisk walk outdoors (if need be).
  • Lunch time includes two options: a) students remain in their period 1 class for the first 20 minutes of lunch and then transition to period 2 (20 minutes); b) students eat lunch outdoors, and return to the building to transition to period 2.

Important Dates

  • November 25th – Report Card Distribution, period 1
  • Turn Around Date – Civics/Careers – T2 begins December 16th
  • Parent /Student/ Teacher Interviews – Thursday December 16th

In closing, we appreciate your patience and support as we continue to move through our evolving landscape.
The strength of our community lies in the communication and relationships that we continue to foster with one another.
We hope you enjoy the weekend, make time for your family and continue to be kind to yourself and others.
We look forward to seeing our students on Monday.

 Sincerely,

Dave Jaeger, Christine Bencina and Jordan Figueiredo
