Acoustic Poetry at St. David
St. David enjoys a monthly tradition of holding “Acoustic Poetry” sessions, giving students the chance to share their original acoustic compositions or original poetry in an intimate setting. This group meets at lunch in the drama room, entering the room to the strains of Jim Morrison singing “The End”. The lava lamps are obligatory. It’s a wonderful opportunity for students to encourage each other in sharing their vast talents. So watch our for signs for our next session of Acoustic Poetry.

Athletic Council
The Athletic Council is a student led part of our Athletic Program at St. David.  The Athletic Council helps to increase the success of the daily intramural program, organizes the charity sports tournaments, as well as assists in creating “Celtic Spirit” for featured varsity games.  Positions on the Athletic Council include:  Intramural Conveners, Publicity and Promotions, Social Media, Webmaster, Sport Helpers, Feature All Star Games and Contests, Super Teams Convener, Promo Video and Daily Announcements teams.  If you are interested in applying for a position with our Athletic Council, please speak with one of our friendly Phys Ed. teachers.

DECA
DECA is an international organization that promotes business, marketing and entrepreneurship in Canada, the US, Korea, Germany and Mexico. Students enhance their business knowledge and skills in different categories in regional and provincial competitions.

LINK Crew
Link Crew is a high school transition program that welcomes Grade 9 students and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their high school experience. Built on the belief that students can help students succeed, Link Crew trains members of the grade 11 and 12 classes to be Link Leaders. As positive role models, Link Leaders are motivators, leaders and teachers who guide the grade 9’s to discover what it takes to be successful during the transition to high school and help facilitate grade 9 success.

Model UN
Model UN (or MUN for short) is a club dedicated to the study of international affairs, taken from the perspective of a delegate of the United Nations. MUN Clubs across the planet roleplay various countries, representing that nation’s interests to committees like the Security Council, the Counterterrorism Committee, and the Organization of American States. To do this, Model UN Delegates must practice and utilize the real world procedural aspects of the UN. Currently the Model UN Club is the only forum at St. David’s for debating, and allows students to discuss solutions to the issues of humanity today through discussion, dialogue, and negotiation.
