Drama ADA3OI

This course requires students to engage in dramatic processes and the presentation of dramatic works, and emphasizes the application of drama skills in other contexts and opportunities. Students will develop a variety of skills related to collaboration and the presentation of drama works.

Media Arts ASM2OI

This course will develop students’ artistic knowledge and skills by introducing them to current media arts technologies and processes. Student learning will include the analysis, appreciation, and production of media art, using a variety of techniques and emergent technologies .Student projects may include computer-based activities such as creating videos, editing photos, working with audio, cartooning, developing animations, and designing web pages.

Students will perform and develop skills acquired in previous guitar classes. Special emphasis will be given to develop fingerpicking and chord/melody playing. Students will perform appropriate works in contemporary popular styles and will include medium to advanced repertoire and the study of many leading guitar players. Students will also compose and record original music, making use of appropriate technology. Recommended: Guitar, Grade 10 (AMG2OI)

This course provides students with opportunities to further develop their skills and knowledge in visual arts. Students will explore a range of subject matter through studio activities, and will consolidate their practical skills. Knowledge and skills involved in interior design will be the focus. This will be done through the study of decorating styles, the development of perspective skills and exposure to interior decorating as a business. The emphasis is on professional standards and applications.

Students will also make connections between various works of art in personal, contemporary, historical, and cultural contexts.
