All grade 12 students and parents are encouraged to join the Grade 12 Post Secondary Planning Information Google Classroom Use code tbqcw2h to join.


A presentation was held on Monday September 16 for all grade 12 students to discuss how to begin
post-secondary research. At this meeting, we distributed schedules for University and College
Liaison visits which will be coming to St. David this fall as well as a Scholarship and Bursary resume
for students to complete. Scholarship and Bursary resumes are due to the guidance office by
October 1.

Students are encouraged to use September and October to gather information about potential
post-secondary schools and programs.
The power point presentation containing the information used in this meeting can be accessed
through the school website under the guidance tab.

Next Meeting:
There will be a follow up meeting for all grade 12 students on November 1 during period three to discuss
the post-secondary application process and financial planning, awards and scholarships.

● University Fair
A university fair will be held on October 18, 2019 from 9-10:15 am in St. David gym. This is
an excellent opportunity for students to connect with representatives from many of
Ontario’s universities. Visit for additional dates for university fairs.

● Conestoga College Fair
Conestoga College will host College Fair 2019 at the Recreation Centre, Kitchener
(Doon) campus. It will be held on Tuesday October 22 from 10:30 am – 1:00 pm and
from 5:30 pm -7:30 pm.
A bus will be provided for students wishing to attend this event. Permission forms will
be available for students to pick up in guidance at the beginning of October.
● St. David College Fair A college fair will be held at St. David on November 7 from
12:30-2 pm. This is an excellent opportunity for students to speak with representatives
from many of the Ontario Colleges.



Take Our Kids To Work Day

On Wednesday November 6, all grade 9 students are encouraged to take part in Take Our Kids To Work
Day . This is an opportunity for grade 9 students to accompany a family member, family friend,
neighbour or other adult to their workplace for one day. Forms will be distributed in October. Please visit for further information.

Grade 8 Day

On Wednesday November 6, all grade 8 students from the St. David family of schools will visit St. David
for the day. Schedules and details will be provided by grade 8 teachers.

Grade 8 Night

On Tuesday November 26 St. David is hosting an evening for all grade 8 students and parents to visit our
school. Come and learn all about our amazing Celtic community and learn all about making the transition
to high school. All are welcome.

offers the tools students need to make the most informed decisions about their future. It is Canadian
company and connects directly to relevant Canadian post-secondary resources. Students can access
myBlueprint through their D2L accounts under the pathway tab.
