Chaplain’s Message 2017-03-07T13:52:36+00:00

From the Chaplain …
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.”
– 1 Timothy 4:12

My name is Ed MacIntosh and I am blessed be the Chaplain for St. David Catholic Secondary School.
The Secondary School Chaplain in conjunction with the entire school community, ministers to the total life of the school by coordinating opportunities which promote Christ-centred values, spiritual growth and formation of the human person in a living faith community.

This may be achieved by;

the recognition and celebration of the liturgical year (e.g. Eucharist, Reconciliation, retreats, communal prayer)
Co-ordination of social justice initiatives to actively reach out to the marginalized in our local communities and abroad
Actively working to develop relationships with parish communities
Providing spiritual support for the school community, (both staff and students) and on occasion providing support for system level spiritual development initiatives.
Please feel free to contact me if you would like more information about the Chaplaincy programs at St. David.
