Loran Scholarship

Amount:

  • 30 winners receive award valued at $100 000.00
  • 40 finalists awarded $3000
  • $2000 to top 3% of candidates.

Criteria:

  • Integrity, leadership, commitment to service, entrepreneurial spirit

Due date: Sponsored:  Oct 22 Direct Pool: Oct. 29

Selection Notes and Application Process:

  • School may sponsor up to 3 students.  All interested students must provide a one page resume to guidance by Oct. 9/ 2015.

 

Hope Springs Spiritual Scholarship

Amount:

  • 3 awards of $2000 each

Criteria:

  • Faced the challenge of cancer either personally or through a family member or friend and used the experience to become more creative, more enlightened and community minded.

Horatio Alger Ontario Scholarship Program

Amount:

  • $5000.00

Criteria:

  • Critical financial need (annual family income less than $55000), exhibit integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity

Amount:

  • $Full tuition $7500 per year living expenses and job opportunities for summer employment at TD

  • 2 of 3 criteria:Academic excellence,
    outstanding community, business or entrepreneurship

Terry Fox Humanitarian Scholarship

Amount:

  • max $28000 over four years

Criteria:

  • humanitarian volunteer work

Zonta Awards  Young Women in Public Affairs

Amount:

  • $1000.00 in region and ten $4000.00 International awards

Criteria:

  • Women age 16-19 with active commitment to volunteerism, leadership, student government

Due date: mid January

The Chloe Calender Award Scholarship

Amount:

  • 2 awards of $1000.00

Criteria:

  • Caribbean or Black heritage residing in Waterloo Region, Age 16-25, admission to Canadian post secondary institution

Due date: Applications come out in March, due June

  • Applications will be distributed to schools in March.

 

Kitchener Sports association

Amount:

  • 6 awards of $2000.00 each

Criteria:

  • Dedication to sports in past, present, future, commitment to academics and community

  • $1000.00 minimum

  • Must be individual with life-long disability who is current client or alumnus of KidsAbility
